We accept all major credit/debit cards except American Express.

The price for the goods will be as stipulated on the website at the time when you place your order. If due to an error or omission, the price published for the goods on our website is wrong, we will inform you of the correct price and give you an opportunity to either cancel, or proceed with the order at the correct price.

Shipping and Handling

After you have placed an order, we will contact you, offering you to chose a delivery date that suits you best, or to confirm a date you have already chosen. For security reasons, we can only deliver to the registered cardholders address.

All instock bike orders are sent via Fastway Couriers next day but please allow 48 hours for delivery
If an item is out of stock we will notify you and arrange a convenient date for delivery
All instock parts are sent via 1st class or Fastway Couriers and delivery is usually between 48-72 hours.

Your Security and Credit Card Security

We value your security and as such have done our utmost to ensure that none of your personal information is at risk while you are visiting our site. Credit Card Security: Because of the threat to the security of your payment details, we will not request your credit card details via the order form if you choose to use our standard payment option. You will be contacted within 48 hours to confirm your payment details, thus ensuring that at no point are your details stored in any transmission across the internet.

If you select to use our secure server option, you will be transferred to the secure server prior to your payment details being requested. The secure server uses 128 bit encryption and as such you can feel confident that your details cannot be intercepted by any third party at any point during the transaction.

Back Orders

Once you have placed an order with us, we will be in contact with you soon after. If we are out of stock of the product you have ordered, you are under no obligation to proceed with the purchase and you will be offered the option to Back-Order the item(s).

Should you choose to do this we will endeavour to give you a true indication of the date upon which you should expect to receive said goods.

We will request a deposit for ordering specific goods on your behalf where relevant (these details will be given to you at the point when we contact you).

If we fail to secure the goods you have back ordered within a reasonable (the estimated) time, you will be under no obligation to proceed further with that order. This is extremely rare.

If you wish to complain.

In the unlikely event that you should feel you need to complain, please contact the store either by telephone on 01706 633426 or by mail (contact details as per our contacts page) and address your complaint directly to the Manager.

Returns

We want you to be 100% satisfied with any product that you buy from us. If you are not 100% happy with your purchase, Chris Paulson Cycles will give you a refund (see order cancellation below). If you wish to return an item purchased from us, you should do this within 7 working days. Intially please contact us by email or letter to let us know you are returning the goods and why. You will be liable for the cost of returning goods to us. However returned goods must be unused, in a saleable condition and in their original packaging with all labels etc still attached.

Order Cancellation

You may change your mind and cancel your order at any time from placing the order until 7 working days after you take delivery. Your cancellation must be in writing, either by letter or email, and the cost of returning the goods will remain your responsibility. The goods must be returned undamaged and capable for resale at the full price. You will receive a full refund of the product cost within 30 days.
Any item bought in error will be exchanged*, i.e. where you buy the wrong size.
*unfortunately we cannot refund actual expense i.e. postage and packing and you will be charged for postage on any replacement items we send out where the original mistake was not ours.

If your item(s) come from our stocks and have not been dispatched, we are able to cancel your order and you won't be charged.


All order cancellations are handled on an individual case basis.

If you cancel an order during your 7 day period and you recieved free delivery we will deduct a charge for the original postage and packing as follows:

Anything else £9.95

All goods that we sell are covered by a warranty. Most items have a warranty provided by their respective manufacturer BUT this warranty must be carried out by us. If you feel that you have an item which is faulty, please return it to us with a copy of your original proof of purchase. If it is found to be a genuine fault of manufacture we will of course repair or replace it free of charge and return it to you with no postage charges. However, if the item is found not to have a genuine fault covered by its warranty we will contact you to tell you of this. If you subsequently require the product to be returned back to you, we will have to make a charge for carriage.

Cookie Policy

What is a cookie?

You may have heard of internet cookies. They are tiny text files which are placed into the temporary internet files folder on your computer by the websites that you visit. Not all sites use cookies, but many commercial sites do so for a number of reasons. Some cookies are used to track your browsing habits whilst in a site, others are used to target banner advertisements such that providors can display ads which they feel are relevant to you. Cookies can only be retrieved by you or by the site which placed the cookie on your computer. In the case of cookies placed by banner adverts this means that your browsing between sites may be trackable by the advert company. HOWEVER, a cookie does not generally store any personally identifiable information about you. Our site does not use cookies in this way.

What is a session cookie?

Our shopping system uses session cookies. A session cookie contains only a long random string of characters which are uniquely assigned to your computer when you make your first request from our site. The cookie additionally has a timestamp and a duration (in seconds) for which the cookie will exist. This timestamp is the precise moment at which you made the request for content from our site and the expiry is 30 minutes (3600 seconds) from that time. If you make no further requests from our site, the cookie will expire and your computer will automatically delete it once the 30 minutes has elapsed. If you close all of your browser windows, the cookie will also be deleted. If you make a subsequent request of the site within the 30 minutes and without having closed your browser windows, the site will first check to see if a session cookie exists and if it does, it simply updates the timestamp, subsequently prolonging the expiry time for 30 minutes from that precise moment.

What does this session cookie do?

As stated in the previous answer, a session cookie contains a long string of characters assigned uniquely to your computer when a request is made from our site. As this string of characters is unique to you, our site can read it back and use the string as a unique identifier within a database query. This in turn means that your computer can own entries in our database. These owned entries are your selected products. At this stage, the site does not know who you are, just that it was you who selected those particular items. If your computer refuses our session cookie, this unique string of characters changes with every page that you request, subsequently meaning that the site loses your selected product as soon as you move page again.

What should I do?

To use the shopping system on our site, you must ensure that your computer will accept session cookies. Most internet browsers (for example Microsoft Internet Explorer) will allow you selectively allow and disallow cookies. Session cookies are safe and should not be confused with persistent cookies.

But I didn't turn cookies off, so why is it not working?

There are a number of reasons why your computer may be refusing our session cookie. It could be that you have altered your privacy settings, perhaps to protect your children. It may be that you are accessing our site from a workplace computer which is behind a firewall. You may have installed a piece of security software which is blocking them.

The value of the free accessories will be calculated at the rrp NOT the online offer price.
If the order is cancelled all free accessories must be returned as new as per our normal returns procedure.
